Project settings are at Settings → Project. They control how Hemma identifies your project, where it sends inbound documents, and how it presents your build to team members.
Your project name appears in the header, in email subjects, and on any share links. Change it to anything that helps you and your team recognise the project at a glance — typically the street address or a short description like "Renovation Ghent."
The address of the property being built or renovated. Used as context when Hemma processes documents and surfaces information in the AI search. Optional, but useful.
Every project has a dedicated inbound email address — something like yourproject@mail.gethemma.app. Any email you forward to this address, or that a contractor sends directly to it, lands in Hemma for processing.
The project email is derived from your project name and cannot be edited directly. If you need to change it — for example, if you renamed the project — contact hello@gethemma.app and we will update it for you.
The language setting controls which language Hemma uses for your project's interface and any AI-generated summaries. Options are Dutch (NL), English (EN), and French (FR).
This is per-project — you and a team member can each choose a different language in your own account settings without affecting each other. See changing your language.
Settings that apply to you personally — your name, language, analytics consent, password — are in Settings → Account, not project settings. Changes there affect you across all projects you are a member of.
Does changing the project name change the project email? No. The project email is set when the project is created and does not change automatically. Contact support if you need it changed.
Can I have multiple projects? Each project is a separate workspace in Hemma. If you need a second project — a rental property, a friend's renovation — sign in and create a new one from the project switcher.
Can non-owners change project settings? Yes. All members can update the project name and address. Only the owner can delete the project.
