A decision is a choice your project needs you to make — usually before a certain point in a phase. Choosing which roofer to go with, deciding on a floor finish, or confirming that you have received the permits. Decisions are what keep a phase moving.
Decisions live inside phases. Each one has:
Most decisions are placed by Hemma when you set up the project, based on the Belgian construction phases. You can add your own.
Open a phase card in the Phases section of your project. Each phase shows its open decisions below the milestone list. A yellow indicator on the phase card means there are decisions waiting for you.
The decision moves from open to completed. The phase card updates its indicator.
Changed your mind? Open the completed decision and click Reopen. The outcome is cleared and the decision goes back to open. Hemma does not lock decisions after you complete them.
At the bottom of any active phase, click Add decision. Give it a name. You can also set a deadline and a kind. Your custom decisions work exactly like the built-in ones.
Every decision — open, completed, custom, or built-in — stays visible in the phase it belongs to. Scroll through your phases to review them. Completed decisions are shown in a muted style below the open ones.
Do decisions affect phase progress? Some do, some do not. Decisions marked as prerequisite are checked before a phase is considered ready to start. During phase decisions do not block phase progress but do show up in your D0 view when their deadline is approaching.
Can I delete a decision? You can delete decisions you created yourself. Built-in decisions (the ones Hemma placed) cannot be deleted — but they can be completed or left open without consequence.
What is the D0 view? D0 shows what needs your attention today. Decisions with a deadline in the next 24 hours appear there. You can also see them from the main dashboard.
