Hemma speaks Dutch, French, and English. Pick whichever feels natural. The choice is yours alone — your partner, your architect, and anyone else on the project keep their own setting. The same project, same documents, same numbers, in three different languages at the same time.
Quickly, from anywhere. Click your initials in the top-right corner. The dropdown opens with three options — Nederlands, Français, English — and your current choice highlighted in green. Click another one and Hemma switches immediately.
From settings, with a bit more context. Open Settings → Account and look for the Language dropdown next to your name and email. Same three options, same effect. Useful if you're already in there changing other things.
The setting is saved to your account, so it follows you on every device. Sign in on your phone tomorrow and Hemma is still in the language you picked.
The interface changes. Buttons, menus, error messages, the home screen, every single label Hemma controls: they all flip to the new language the next time the page redraws.
Your documents don't. Hemma never translates the PDFs, photos, or quotes you upload. A French invoice stays in French. A Dutch contract stays in Dutch. The contractor wrote it that way, and changing your interface language doesn't change theirs. What Hemma does translate is the labels around the document — "Invoice", "Total", "Due date" — but the content itself stays exactly as you received it.
AI summaries follow your language. When Hemma writes a summary of an email or a quote, it writes it in your interface language. Your partner reading the same summary in Dutch sees it in Dutch, even though the source email was in French. Each of you reads your own version.
Emails from Hemma follow your language. Magic links, invite emails, weekly digests — all sent in the language you picked. The person inviting you gets their email in their language. Languages don't cross over.
